I think I had all of those back in the day!
It was a decent keyboard, but in reality I had it because it cost a fraction of an apple one. The usb converter was almost a required item for the iMac switchover. At the time the lack of ADB but also lack of USB Mac drivers was a major issue during the quite aggressive transition by apple
The iMate and lots of stuff from Griffin were strange, but surprisingly useful during their moment in time. I think my biggest gripe about Griffin is that when they discontinue a product, they burn all evidence that it ever existed so finding any information on discontinued products becomes impossible. I do not understand why they do this.
They made sync on green adapters back in the 90s when you wanted to connect a VGA monitor to a Mac, which were super useful. What I liked about theirs is that they tended to not require dip switch settings. It was just plug it in and go.
These days I have a few iMates still around along with some knock-off ADB-to-USB adapters to go with the Apple Extended Keyboards. I still use the Griffin Powermate USB on my Linux systems as I got so used to that for volume control. Since it’s been discontinued, every now and then when I see one appear on eBay, I buy it.
I don't know if anyone else noticed, but the guy is also DIY’ing EV conversions! Yes, not OS related material, but OMG!
