"there will be those who defend apple saying that apple have to follow laws. " Even by those 'standards' this seems like a bone-headed move. Not only is Russia a hostile, sanctioned state, their leverage and ability to retaliate against Apple in this instance is minimal; Apple hasn't been active in the market for years at this point. And yet Apple is still kowtowing to Russian demands.
You'd think if ever there was a chance for a tech corporation to score an easy PR win by standing against an authoritarian regime while losing next to nothing in the process that this would be it, but apparently not.

While apple deserves criticism here, there will be those who defend apple saying that apple have to follow laws. However we need to recognize that the walled garden policies and device jails that apple has built with the purpose of denying owners of control over their own devices is also responsible. It makes the government censorship scenarios that much worse when our own western tech companies are complicit in depriving owners of the keys to their own devices!
