LowEndMac interviews Andy Hertzfeld. Andy Hertzfeld was a key member of the original Macintosh team in 1984. He joined Apple in 1979 and was responsible for many parts of the original Macintosh system software. He was such an adept programmer, in fact, that his Apple business card said ‘Software Wizard’.
Short but good interview
… that Eazel was responsible for the main development of Gnome’s Nautilus
For a real interview with Hertzfeld checkout out http://www.pbs.org/cringely/nerdtv/shows/ . He is #1 on the list.
Why are you comparing a text interview to a video interview? That doesn’t make any sense.
For those who haven’t seen it yet, take a gander at http://www.folklore.org which is Andy’s site. He recounts much of his time at Apple.
Also, check put http://www.macfolkloreradio.com where there are audio versions of some of the stories.
Nautilus in Gnome is from Eazel(or Easel) and came from his hands.
Its a shame they stopped..so much potential.
I hope Google gives him timne and space from Linux Desktop development.
