I haven’t been too impressed with Windows Mobile up until now, but the fact that the writer has made a point of mentioning it’s stability, this might be able to woo me back!
I dunno; I have a Dell Axim X51v with WM5 that I absolutely love. While it does have wireless & bluetooth, I rarely use that functionality. I don’t surf the net or do email on it. I do use the calendar & task list extensively, along with note-taking and other items. That being the case, WM6 doesn’t appear to be a compelling upgrade for me.
iPhone looks nice, but you cannot do anything different from the phone functionality; same for Windows Mobile devices.
Let’s wait for OpenMoko and the new race of phones next to it!!!! OpenMoko is a true linux box with X, a compiler and all the tools needed to create whatever you want!
Why buyin’ a device with no extensible functionality?

That is true for the iPhone, but not for Windows Mobile devices. You can load third party applications onto those.

Plus you can download Visual C# 2005 for free and write a program for Windows Mobile.
Not with the free downloadable edition, the mobile development thingy (approx 900MB download) requires a paid version…
Oh, my bad… I have Professional at work and Standard at home.
