A few days ago the AROS team published quite an extensive update on AROS’ status. Progress has been made on porting AROS to the sam440 board, Traveller (Webkit-based browser for AROS) has made some strides, and work has begun on a load of manuals for AROS, among other things.
There is no way to the set screen refresh rate in AROS. Not all of use LCDs.
I think that it supports M68K CPU in emulation for old code, but is there any reason besides speed why the system code could not be coded for i86 with support for PPC and M68K emulation?
In other words how much of this code base is in ‘C’ vs in Assembly?
Nothing about UAE integration yet though. Deadline is less than 3 months away!
That is what I’m all excited about!
A: Being able to install AROS to my hard drive without any trouble what so ever. (I’ve still not managed this even with the docs).
B: UAE Integration so I can abandon WinUAE once and for all, assuming the AROS port’s JIT and stability is up to par.
Go TEAM Venture!!! I mean AROS!!!!
