I know that most of the articles on OSAlert haven’t really been OS related in the last couple of years. But this… what is this?
Wine is an implementation of win32 on Linux, allowing win32 applications to run on linux. Pretty OS-related.
An acquisition of a third-party review site for an ever-decreasingly-relevant userspace API-wrapping technology by a self-proclaimed “services company” built around the idea of something-something-something-open-source-product-something-something profit? I’m sorry, but I just don’t see it. Hell, the company making the acquisition doesn’t even have a website, just a punny name.
Uhh, I think you’ve got that backwards.
As for this being OS-related, I dare say it’s closer to the subject matter than, say, every report on web developments.
This is very osrelated.
I cant believed people modded you up. It’s messed up.
Almost like a microcosm of politics in the greater world where voter mentality is also a real weak link.
Are here people with multiple accounts in here that vote for themselves?
Anyway read OSAlert mission statement.
IT IS TO EXPLORE THE FUTURE OF COMPUTING
Interpretation..IT IS NOT OS EXCLUSIVE
A virtually unknown Wine news and review site acquires an equally unknown “technology” company that doesn’t even have a working web site. If that isn’t news I don’t know what is.
I also didn’t know there was a business sector for “Wine services”.
You’ve got the concept of “news” wrong. It doesn’t have to be about celebrities.
Also, I don’t believe Wine-Reviews is unknown to people using that particular implementation of the Windows API. The business sector for Wine services is small, but you may have heard of companies such as Transgaming and CodeWeavers.

News about WINE is VERY OS related to anybody wanting to run MS Office on any *nix. I would hardly call WINE or Wine-Reviews an unknown site or the Bourdeaux Group unknown either. And as for working websites:

Sir, I think you need to do a little bit more research before you start spouting off. Or would you rather have more news about Google this, Google that, H264 this, H264 that.
Would this be good for the ReactOS development?
I don’t think so.
