Two new releases from Apple today: iOS 8.1.1 and OS X 10.10.1 (don’t try to pronounce it. You’ll hurt yourself). iOS 8.1.1 brings speed improvements for the iPad 2 and iPhone 4s, while OS X 10.10.1 contains a whole bunch of bugfixes, most importantly relating to wifi. You know where to get them.
Seeing as we now have a full ten releases, I propose using the code names instead of version numbers.
So this would be OS X Yosemite-Puma.
Not sure if that really helps anyone, but its kind of fun to say. More fun than OS X 10.10.1, anyways.
updated and now all I see is d"Ys<<
Actually, now we could do dates in Code names too.
In the year Jaguar Cheetah Puma Tiger, there was much turmoil in the world…
Just think how annoying it could be to talk to apple fans!
Man I should have known better to date her, she was born in Lion Cheetah!
Perhaps the OS 10 10.10.10 could be the point release where Apple realizes how silly it looks and maybe release OS XI or whatever they want to call it. =D
How about using the Firefox naming convention. Just call it MacOS. Dump the silly names and drop point releases. So it simply becomes MacOS11, MacOS12 etc
Btw. If you want to jailbreak your iOS device at some point, stick to iOS 8.1 as the 8.1.1-version has put an end to the Pangu Jailbreak for now.
